Mr. Sachin Saxena
Batch : 2014-2016
Designation: Senior Business Analyst, HCL Technologies
My MBA degree from IMI Kolkata has helped in shaping my vision and moulding my thought process more from the business perspective and thinking holistically about the objectives of my tasks and the overall work at hand. MBA education has allowed me to grow as an individual both personally and professionally by providing me the knowledge and the learnings which enable me to work more smoothly and efficiently in my work. It has prepared me to face unfamiliar situations comfortably and confidently.
My advice to young MBA aspirants would be to work harder, utilize the time to continuously improve yourself by gaining knowledge and keep working towards your goals professionally.
Eventually what separates you from the rest would be how much effort you have put in improving yourself. Opportunities would definitely arise but you need to make sure you are ready to grab them. Keep working hard and make a name for yourself.

Medha Saha
Batch : 2013-15
Designation: Group Account Director, Kantar UK
Seven years back when I sat in front of the interview panel for my admission in IMI Kolkata, my interview ended with one of the most common questions - "Where do you see yourself in 10 years?" With all my GDPI preparations I was ready to face it and promptly spoke about being an ambitious corporate achieving success in life.
My dreams then were almost as colourful as the campus was about to join, but what I had no idea about was the route to achieve those dreams. IMI Kolkata not only unearthed that route for me but also ensured that I be on track till I reach my destination. Standing here today after completing 5 years of my market researcher life, it seems funny to think that I didn't even know about the existence of this field till I joined IMI. With the extremely well-designed curriculum of the college, we got such amazing opportunities to get acquainted with many unknown career options whether be it market research or operations management or investment banking. Personally, for me, the curriculum along with all the live projects and internships, etc. played such an important role in preparing me for the corporate world outside.
It was only after I started working for Kantar that I realized that our courses were so well designed that settling in the new job literally seemed like a cakewalk. And not just professionally, there was such a huge influence of the college on our personal development as well. With all the presentations and live cases, I could speak to a wider audience with much more conviction and finesse, I could do my work with a lot more confidence.
For whatever I have achieved till date, I would whole-heartedly pass on the biggest share of its credit to IMI Kolkata for not only being the pathfinder but for being the enabler as well. To end with a marketing jargon (a very common inside joke of MBAS), IMI Kolkata ensured a very smooth 'Route to Market' for me and I would be forever indebted for every little thing I have learned in that campus.

IMI Kolkata's PGDM programme was a very challenging yet rewarding experience. The curriculum helped build aptitude as well as technical skills. The campus, situated in the heart of the city, has one of the best infrastructure facilities. Being from the first batch came with its own challenges, which we willingly accepted and excelled at with the guidance of accomplished faculty members.
