Laboratories

FOOD & BEVERAGE SERVICE LAB

A course designed for young minds who want to enhance their contemporary skills in food & drink preparation, nutritional testing, and kitchen management through practical learning & training. The curriculum covers everything from examination & analysis to inspection & certification of food and beverage products.

FRONT OFFICE LAB

Introducing students to the systems and procedures of Front Office operations, this course emphasizes the value and provision of high standards in customer service. Candidates develop the necessary skills in reception procedures while learning about the service delivery system and rules of employee-customer engagement.

COMPUTER LAB

Our state-of-the-art computer lab assists students of all levels in developing and enhancing their computer skills using the latest hardware, software, and technologies. It also facilitates their learning and is a valuable asset in completing their online research as well as exam preparation.

FOOD PRODUCTION LAB

A course designed for students who wish to acquire all the crucial skills required to work in the finest dining establishments in the world. Candidates will learn every aspect of food & drink production, including processing facilities, preparation techniques, cooking methods, delivery, and cost control.

BAKERY

With a meticulously-designed curriculum, this course opens multiple opportunities for aspiring bakers, pâtissiers, or confectionery chefs in top-tier hotels, bistros, restaurants, and café chains. An excellent option for students passionate about pastries, sweets, desserts, and bread.

HOUSEKEEPER LAB WITH LAUNDRY

Here's a course that teaches students about housekeeping - right from basic principles to advanced concepts. Candidates learn about laundry inventory and budget control, staff duties, chemical safety, furnishing maintenance, and operational procedures in the hospital and nursing industry.

Front Office

The Front Office Lab which is known for first & Last impression on the guest mind equipped with a reception desk, bell desk, lobby manager desk and a spacious lobby where the students are trained how to do reservation, welcoming & receiving the guest and handling check out of guest.

Besides this it focuses on development of soft skills, handling of telephones and solving various guest issues which helps to acquire the specific techniques that becomes the tools of their trade.

Front Office Laboratory caters to students of Hotel Management in Accommodation Operation & Management, 1st , 2nd and 3rd years of Degree programme.

Food Production

Equipped with the ultra-modern kitchen gadgets and equipment for HM Students. Training Kitchen is the department where the students of Hotel Management learn cooking style and techniques of different cuisine and sharpen their skills to become best industrial professional chefs.

Bakery

Equipped with the ultra-modern bakery gadgets and equipment for HM Students. Bakery is the department which every craves a lot about. Here the students are taught different cakes, breads, cookies, biscuits and pastries. They are trained in such a way that they are made well versed with the baking temperature and time.

Food & Beverage Service

Institute has a training restaurant. The restaurant has a total capacity of 48 covers. It caters a la’ carte meal supplied by kitchen labs and Bakery & Confectionery on practical basis. F&B Service department which is in liaison with the guest, our faculty enlightens the students with the basic attributes of service and in depth knowledge of beverages. In second year wine and its types are given a lot of emphasis. They are taught how to make cocktails and mocktails apart from which they are also taught flaring and pairing of food and wine by workshops.

Demo Rooms

Housekeeping focused on the movie of aesthetic upkeep of the premises our HK faculties teach students the basic layout and value of cleanliness of rooms, Bed making techniques.

Housekeeping Lab

Our faculty is full skilled and practically sound to teach our students full of knowledge regarding guest laundry handling, Stain Removal Chemical, Cleaning Equipment, Horticulture, Interior decoration, flower arrangements and how to make the guests feel comfortable.

Library

The Library of SRM-IHM is in a modern block to support study & research. More than thousands of books, national and international subscribed journals and magazines are available for the students . It is well stocked with a large collection of textbooks and references books, project reports, compact disks, audio and video cassettes as well as subscription to various electronic and print periodical title. Apart from books, the students have access to the latest magazines, international journals, newspapers and research papers. The library is equipped with all the modern facilities such as photocopying, audio visual aids, computers, CD ROM databases and internet.

Computer Lab

Students have easy access to computing facilities and the internet. The computer laboratory has highly advanced machines with latest technology. Students use these facilities extensively for their project work. The latest software used in the hospitality industry, like IDS taught to students.

Hostel

The campus has hostel facility for both boys and girls. Ac and non AC rooms of international standards and offering comfortable environment. Each room has been provided with an attached bathroom with necessary furniture and fixtures (a table, chair, cupboard per student). The hostel has canteen facility, 24hour water supply and continuous electricity back up for the hostel is there. A well designed common room, well placed water coolers are needless to say. Support staff is provided for the students at the hostel. 24x7 Security facility available for both boys and girls hotels.

Transport

The SRM University provides a safe air conditioned/ non- air conditioned transport for students, with a communication system and supervised pick up and dispersal. Though, the Campus is located at a well-connected place. There is easy availability of public conveyance for students who come from Delhi/ Sonipat and other parts of Haryana. The campus is just few kilometres away from Delhi.
